People often ask us “What do you do all day?”, “What are you working on right now?” or “Where can I get a decent currywurst in Berlin?”.

Well, the answers are just around the corner: in this blog the esteemed Mr. Malbuch will share his thoughts and you can stay informed about his continuous efforts to keep his desk in SOME kind of order. He may even tell you about the music he’s listening to.

And, in the words of Red Simpson, “most of it might even be true”…



Since 1980 the Malbuch Studio in Berlin has illustrated and designed books, advertisements, pinball machines and record covers. Since 2007 Mychael Gerstenberger has designed numerous box sets, books and other projects for the German reissue labels Bear Family, BE Records and RUF Records (these have been acknowledged with, at last count, eight Grammy nominations). In 2015 he received a Special Award for Best Graphic Design from the International Bluegrass Music Association IBMA in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mychael works in English and German, is available for other book projects, and he has been drawing while listening to music since his childhood days, and sees no reason to stop:
